The Universal Peace Federation is committed to bringing civil society solutions to serious global problems and to achieving world peace. As you may be aware, UPF is an NGO with Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, whose purposes are the following:
- To form a global alliance of individuals and organization to solve critical problems and build a world of lasting peace;
- To promote interreligious dialogue and cooperation;
- To promote good governance centered on universal principles;
- To sponsor educational initiatives in the critical areas of human rights, HIV/AIDS and character education as well as conflict resolution;
- To build a culture of peace through a multi-sectoral approach that includes education, sports, arts, and service.
